Unit 2: Information architecture course description

Overview

The second unit of our Professional Intranet Planning Certificate focusses on intranet information architecture, why it's important to understand your users needs, their experience and how to create your own intranet architecture.

This unit will be led by Martyn Green and he will be joined by Jeremy Stewart and Martin Miles during the class.

During this 1.5 hour session you will:

- Understand how to gather your users intranet requirements and make sense of the feedback

- Learn the importance of user experience

- Create your own information architecture

- Learn how to build your own intranet

This session will be interactive and you are encouraged to ask questions and focus on how this could apply to your own organisation.

This unit should be completed before starting unit 3; deployment.
